The world has seen darker times (we Armenians know that) but I don't like the way things seem to be going. I'm not sure about your line of work but I know mine is starting to become a micromanaged communist style system. Lucky for me I don't care if big brother is watching because I'm always smiling and giving him the finger

Yes I know what you're talking about, the world is getting more and more greedier and there isn't too much hope for the future. But what can you do right? There are those of us who are watchers and those who are doers, so which one am I you may ask? Well, I'll leave that one up to you my good friend.

Oh by the way, why do you think it's big brother watching and not big sister? I am a year older right?

If America were really free, people who migrated wouldn't have been forced to give up their language and culture and assimilate into "American" society. Why are all the French speaking people living in Canada? LOL

And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion,
A home and a country should leave us no more!
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:

Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."~Star Spangled Banner

And they make children learn and sing this song... I guess the brainwashing has to start at an early age

Always know you'd have something interesting to say, thank you! You made a lot of great points about how this country has been pretty hypocritical regarding freedom and democracy. There has I always been a catch and so people just either didn't realise it when they first came here or were like you said so tired and needed hope and I guess coming here was the place. Well, in a lighter note if we compare this to the other countries who are completely without freedom and there is no way of free speech, well basically democracy is none, zilch, nada, well I suppose this country is the pot of gold at the end of the dreary rainbow, wouldn't you agree?:)

I just love your comments take care and I hope that you're doing well!
